Our Doctors

Lisa Denny grew up in Wellesley, MA, completed medical school at Pennsylvania State University (2001), and residency in Family Medicine at Boston University (2005). Before moving to Barrington, she practiced at Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester, MA and taught residents at the Boston University family medicine residency program.

Dr. Denny has been an active volunteer throughout her career, in the U.S. and internationally. She speaks Haitian Creole, and welcomes Haitian patients to our practice.

Dr. Denny has received awards for teaching (B.U. Family Medicine Faculty Teaching Award at Codman Square; Brown University Family Medicine Community Preceptor Award), humanities (Clouser Award for Medical Student Research in the Humanities), and arts (Ballantine Award for Medical Student Work in the Arts); served as chief resident in the Department of Family Medicine at Boston University (2004-05).

Dr. Denny teaches resident physicians at in the Department of Family Medicine at Brown University, and is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at Brown University.

She lives in Barrington with her husband, four-year-old twins, and six-year-old son.

Andrea Arena grew up in Buffalo, NY, completed medical school at the State University of NY at Brooklyn (1998) and residency in Family Medicine at Columbia NY Presbyterian in NYC ( 2001), where she served as chief resident.

Dr. Arena has been practicing medicine and caring for families since 1998. After residency, she practiced the full spectrum of family medicine, including obstetrics, at Dorchester House in Boston. She then relocated to Barrington and served as the Medical Director at Stanley Street Treatment and Resources Health Center in Fall River, MA.

Dr. Arena completed a leadership fellowship at Brown University in 2007 and has served as the RI representative for Physicans for a National Health Plan. She was awarded the Lowell Bellin Award for Excellence in Preventive Medicine and Community Health at SUNY Brooklyn and the Dean's Teaching Award at Brown University.

Over the years, Dr. Arena has taught residents and medical students at Boston University as well as Brown University. She currently maintains an Assistant Clinical Professorship at Brown University's Department of Family Medicine.

She lives in Barrington with her husband and two young sons.
